Older and Out
Brighton UK
Older and Out is a fully inclusive social group for older people (aged 50+) who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, unsure or intersex (OLGBTQUI). We are based at the Somerset Centre in the Kemptown neighbourhood of Brighton & Hove.
Every month we provide a social network and community space at the fully accessible Centre on St James’s Street where you’ll get the chance to socialise and meet new people. Each month, we provide a tasty nutritious lunch, enjoy guest speakers, and facilitate discussion groups on issues and topics of interest to our members.
Older and Out also runs occasional trips to local places of interest, as well as to conferences covering issues related to older LGBT+ people in our community.
Working with Brighton & Hove City Council and other LGBT+ voluntary sector groups, Older and Out works to give our members a voice in shaping future services. With our Facebook page we help people stay informed about relevant issues locally, and around the world.
